The three main fundraising events for the Friends are their plant sale in May, a small book sale in August and a much larger sale in October.
This past Mother's day weekend, the Friends hosted their annual plant sale, chaired by Elizabeth Lane. Special thanks go out to Elizabeth, and her crew consisting of Bart Drennen, Tammy Charbonneau, Gary Closius, Kay Zak, Taras Kachorowsky, Joel L'Heureux, Jane Wellbrock, Larry Wellbrock, Neurie Tessagrossa, Dan Holle, Cindy Holle and Teri Natoli.
In August, we hold a small book sale in conjunction with the Salem Lions Tag Sale. More information to come.
Our main fundraising book sale takes place the last weekend in October. It's held in the gymnasium of the Salem School on 200 Hartford Road, Salem, CT. The hours are Friday, 10/24/25 from 7 - 9 PM (Friends members can enter at 6 PM), and Saturday, 10/25/25 from 9 AM to 3 PM. A bag sale begins on Saturday afternoon. Look for the signs on Route 85!
