We now have a complete board of directors for the Salem Free Public Library. Check them out under memberships!

We are also on the last push before our colossal used book sale at the end of October. Our best estimate is that we will have approximately 10,000 books, etc. to sell. Our donation box will be closed starting October 4, 2025, and will reopen again on November 3, 2025 to start the collecting for next year's book sale.

The Friends are looking for volunteers to help with the following:

• Trucks and bodies to move books from the Zemko garage to the Salem School on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
• Help setting up tables and arranging books at the school on October 23rd. We will be able to get into the school at 3:30 PM, and will continue set-up until it's finished.
• People to work at the book sale on Friday, October 24th from 6 - 9 PM, and also Saturday, October 25th from 9 Am to 3 PM.
• We also need help on Saturday and trucks to return tables to the garage, pick up signage and load books into the crates supplied by Bay State Books.
